This is something I was very excited about. I particularly like that it is something I can use every day without looking like too much of a Harry Potter geek. All the same, it is noticeable enough that I get about a compliment a day for it. I am also pleased that it has a dot for every minute; you can tell the time as precisely as with a digital watch. The lack of numbers will take some getting used to - one time I arrived an hour early for an appointment! So far it keeps time well. I've had it for a week and it is still exactly in time with my cell phone. The strap and other parts seem very durable. The only criticism I have is that the watch is very big. I would say I have normal sized wrists, and this watch took some getting used to. The solid casing for the watch, between the straps, is 4.6cm/1.8in long. Compare that to the diameter of your wrist! The picture doesn't show how fat the watch is. It is 1.2cm/0.5in. That sticks out from your wrist really far; I have already scratched the glass by hitting the watch against door frames I walked through.Overall, though, I would say that it is a brilliant watch. I would definitely recommend it. I have gotten used to the size, so, for me, it is absolutely perfect. It has definitely lived up to my expectations.

I picked this watch out for my mom to give me for Christmas. I love Harry Potter, and I love watches (the only functional piece of jewelry). I wore this watch for 'special occasions' (dates, classy events, etc) so it didn't get much use in the 3 months since Christmas. However, the watch face fell out today and disappeared. I was understandably very upset and sad about it, since it is an absolutely gorgeous watch. The pins holding the face in apparently don't do a very good job, which is frustrating since the watch was designed to, well, turn. I believe strongly in paying fair amounts of money for good quality 'investment' pieces, and I was very disappointed to find out that this was not one of those pieces. However, if you want to purchase a beautiful statement piece and just keep it in your house to look at, then I definitely recommend this watch.

I LOVED this watch... but...

Comments about Harry Potter Time-Turner Collectible Watch by Noble:
I first heard about this watch right after the initial run had sold out, so I added myself to the waiting list and got one a t a 20% discount the day they came back, which was in February 2013.LOVED: It's the perfect piece of HP memorabilia for an adult! It's a real watch (although it can be hard to read sometimes as the hands blend into the face), and it's not obviously Potter-related. To anyone not familiar with the Time-Turner (and even to some who are) it just looks cool and steampunk. It got a lot of compliments. The only thing that might have made its appearance even better would have been an "I mark the hours" inscription around the outside, but that probably would have made it ridiculously expensive, so okay.I-COULD-LIVE-WITH-IT: It's huge. I have small wrists for an sdult male, but even so it was impossible to button a long-sleeved shirt cuff over it. Okay, fine. Also, the gold-ish plating on the back started coming off and turrning silver-grey after a few months. But like I said, I could live with that.BUT: A few weeks ago, I noticed a piece missing. (If all goes well there'll be a photo to show what I mean.) I thought it was part of the pin that holds the strap on, so I took it to a watch repair shop, but it turns out it was just a decorative piece of the design. So it doesn't affect the functionality... but it LOOKS broken, and as the tiny little fiddly bit fell off when I wasn't looking and is long gone, and isn't something any watch repair place would carry, it can't be replaced. (It has been well over a year, I doubt it's still under warranty... and I've moved since buying it so I don't know where the box is with any paperwork it might have had). So, as things stand, I can't wear it anymore. If I ever have the money, though, during another sale, I'll probably get another one, and keep a closer eye on the parts that I now know can break off. Plus, I have the old one for spare parts if it comes to that. Of course, if the Harry Potter Shop/WBShop wants to repair/refurbish it, I'd be happy to hear it :)I would recommend it to a friend, but with the caveat to be much more careful with it than you would with your everyday watch.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

A hole by the strap instead of a 4th knobby thing.

Gorgeous watch, there is a subtle metallic blue glow in the cutout areas of the stars and along the timer. Mesmerizing! The crystal sand moves although it does not flow/run out like a true timer. Glass face and overall watch itself is quite thick. Back of case has hogwarts emblem engraved. Gold color case, band buckle, etc is a little too "gold" colored (think 22kt gold color) Leather band is thick and sturdy, black with off white contrast stitching. I am a bit afraid that this watch won't last. When first taken out of the presentation box, the thin metal backing (where Hogwarts emblem is) simply came off. It has done this a few times already.I have a small wrist (6.5") and while the watch is certainly not petite, it is neither too large. Band will fit a much larger wrist.I bought this at Diagon Alley in Wizarding world.

I wear it everyday. It can be formal or informal depending on what you feel like wearing.

Poorly made For such an expensive watch
from New York City
About Me Collector
I bought a Harry Potter watch recently to give to my sister for Christmas, and the pins that connect the face to the strap of the watch don't seem to allow the face to stay on. She tried it on, and the part containing the actual watch just fell off onto the ground. If I had known it was so terribly built, I would not have spent so much to buy it. I bought it for an adult, and was there when she tried the watch on. I bought it a bit in advance just so I would have all of the Christmas gifts purchased, and I found out that this one, which cost me so much money (won't say price so my review doesn't get rejected) is defective. I tried putting it back together, but it just keeps falling off. For such an expensive watch, it's poorly made, and shouldn't even be sold. It's terrible that they even sell such a poorly made product for so much money if it will just fall apart the moment you try it on. I wish I had inspected it before wrapping it for a Christmas present. This is not worth buying. Save your money, don't buy this. These products are terrible, and not worth your money.

Broken Within a Week
from Montreal, Quebec
I got this for my birthday, and it literally lasted less than a week. The actual clock part fell out three times before I abandoned it. I was extremely excited when I got it because it was beautiful, but it was a great disappointment in the end. The glass also shows marks well, so if it gets scraped, it stands out. Overall, the design was great, but it doesn't last long.

I bought this watch because it caught my eye it seemed so different and original. I bought it just to have something on that looks good. I've gotten many compliments on this watch. Everyone enjoys it and thinks it's beautiful. You con't really tell the time because the hands sort of blend with the watch, but I didn't buy it for that reason. I just love watches and I needed to have this one.

About Me Potterhead
Although allergic to plating I used nail polish to cover the back and it was just fine. The twirling of the piece is a wonderful addition. Although the time turner does not work like a minute timer with sand, the sand does move and gives the illusion of a sand timer. Love!

Really like these watches - I ordered 2.
