Beautiful, authentic piece. Nice balance, length and finish - it exudes a sense of power. The only con I would say is that mine had a little bit of paint buffed on one of the elder notches, however it is only noticeable close up, and even then , could be passed as a wood detail. Probably wouldn't recommend for younger children as I am not completely sure it would withstand extensive (or inadvertently rough) play. Great as a costume piece and showing off to friends. And the box is a great display piece!

I bought this for a good friend and when I saw the box it came in I was very pleased, the packaging and the velt surrounding the wand is super. The Elder Wand itself also looks awesome!
When you look at it, looks kinda like wood, and real! But, then I picked it up and was kind of disappointed. I was expecting it to be heavier than it was.. but it feels very much like plastic. I was disappointed to see that how much I spend, and it still is made of plastic.
So, I like everything about my wand except for the feel. But everything else is great. :)

              I think this wand is good, i am unsure about the coloring scheme. I have two purchased two wands and they dont match the description. I am very particular and i notice every detail. However it did not take much to notice these faults. But i will still continue to collect these wands, until i have the complete set.

                Not sure what the negative reviews are about, especially the one saying the wand is lightweight. It's a lovely wand, good weight in my hand, perfect for display, not made for children, not made to play with. In fact, the company that makes the wand specializes in recreating movie memorabelia-- they are not a toy company. I suppose some of the buyers failed to make that realization.
